This "planting" method will allow the hair to look like it is growing out of the scalp. When you have the hair all "planted" you will need to wait several hours for the white glue to dry. Just set the doll aside and come back to it later.  If the glue is dry, you can gently smooth out the hair and see how it looks. If you need to, add more individual hair plugs. You can easily add small sections by dipping the ends into some white glue and "planting" them into the existing hair. Use a toothpick to gently press them down if needed.

After all the hair is dry there is one more step. Take the wig off the doll and turn it over so you can see inside the wig cap.  Around the front and side perimeters of the inside of the wig cap, glue down a row of hair. This will prevent the wig cap from showing when the wig is on the doll. See photos below.

Step thirteen: Adding the last hairs

Now your wig is done. Try it on your doll and see how it looks. If the wig is meant to be permanent, you can glue it on. If you want it to remain removable, you can always use a head pin to keep it attached to the head until you want to change it.

Here are some dolls I have done with removable mohair wigs.

Have fun!
