My exciting doll making career started by accident !
I was selling items on Ebay for a couple years.
One day I ran across something called an OOAK doll. It took me quite a while to
figure out what OOAK meant! (one of a kind! )
Off I went to Toys R Us and bought two Surf City Barbie dolls and started
making little costumes for them. After selling my first three dolls,
immediately I was hooked! I searched The YAHOO GROUPS for more on
this hobby and found Jim Faraone's doll group Fashion Doll Makeovers!
It was through Jim's group of fine doll artists that I learned about repainting.....
another new word for me to learn...LOL. OOAK, Repaint, Reroot....a whole
new world to explore!
I have been creating and selling on Ebay under the name FANTASY-DOLLS-BY-D
I am now in my 8th year of creating OOAK dolls!

I take great pride in doing beautiful repaints and extremely
detailed costumes. You will find attention to the little details
that make my dolls stand out. From the hair style down to the
jewelry ~ everything possible has been done to make my dolls
unique and One of a Kind!
