I have worked my way around the head until I get close to the top. Then, I switch to Aleene's Brush on Tacky Glue. This is necessary as the FabriTac glue is too thick and feels lumpy under the hair. It just isn't the best choice for the top of the head.

I apply the glue to the top of the head with the brush on applicator. See below.

 

I place down some more rows of hair using the white glue. When no more scalp shows, I can concentrate on making the top of the hair look more natural rather than laying flat. The last photo above shows how the hair is still flat. I will fix that now.

I apply more glue to the very top of the head, and then insert the ends of my cut locks down into the glue as if I am planting it. See below.
