Photo #5 Before I roll up the rest of the hair on perm rods I make sure it is all cut evenly. Trim off any stray ends. Photo #6 - Using small sections of hair, place the end paper behind the hair and fold over as shown above. Since this is a regular perm and not a spiral perm, roll the hair straight onto the perm rods, not at an angle. Don't roll all the way up, as the look we want is a long, loose curl. See above. Use your hair clip to keep the rest of the hair out of the way while rolling up each section.

Photo #7- Proceed rolling up the hair until you get to the other side. Photo #8 Take the section of hair you had clipped off and cut it at an angle, as you did on the opposite side. Keep it all one angle- in one section as shown here in photo #8.
